Ibanez EHB1005MSM — Pre-Owned, Excellent Condition

Here's a chance to pick up one of the most thoughtfully designed modern basses on the market at a meaningful saving over new. This EHB1005MSM comes to us in excellent condition — clean, well-kept, and ready to play.

The EHB series represents Ibanez's most serious foray into ergonomic headless design, and the 1005MSM makes a compelling case for the format. The chambered American Basswood body is notably light and contoured, with a slanted back that keeps the bass positioned consistently whether you're sitting or standing — a genuine practical advantage for players who move between both during long sessions. Headless construction shifts the balance point back toward the body, eliminating neck dive entirely.

The five-piece roasted Maple and Walnut neck is graphite-reinforced for long-term stability, and the roasted Maple fingerboard feels smooth and fast under the hand. The multi-scale design — running 33" to 35" across the five strings — gives the low B genuine tension and focus while keeping the upper strings comfortable and responsive. Twenty-four stainless steel fanned frets deliver both durability and tonal brightness, and the luminescent side dots make the offset fret markers easy to read in low light.

Bartolini BH2 passive soapbar pickups sit at the heart of the tonal package, delivering the full, warm character Bartolini is known for. These are paired with Ibanez's Vari-mid 3-band active EQ — with a variable mid-frequency sweep for genuinely wide tonal range — and an EQ bypass switch that drops the circuit to passive with the treble control acting as a tone pot. Individual Monorail bridges offer adjustable string spacing and maximum vibration transfer to the body.

For the player curious about multi-scale or headless basses but reluctant to commit at full retail, this is an excellent entry point into a bass that regularly impresses players far beyond its price bracket.
