Warwick Teambuilt Pro Series Corvette Bubinga 4 String
Few basses carry the kind of street credibility that a German-built Warwick commands, and the Teambuilt Pro Series Corvette Bubinga delivers exactly that — crafted in Warwick's Markneukirchen factory under the direct supervision of their master luthiers, without the custom-shop price tag.
The centrepiece of this bass is its Bubinga body — a dense, striking African hardwood with a natural chocolate-red grain that looks extraordinary under the Natural Transparent Satin finish. Bubinga isn't just beautiful; it contributes serious low-end weight and sustain, giving this Corvette a focused, punchy character that sits perfectly in a band mix.
The Ovangkol neck pairs with a Wenge fingerboard — a combination Warwick has championed for decades and for good reason. Wenge's open-grain texture offers a fast, slightly grippy feel that many players swear by, while the wood itself delivers exceptional clarity and note definition across all 24 jumbo frets. The neck profile is unmistakably Warwick: asymmetric, ergonomic, and confidence-inspiring whether you're walking lines or throwing down slap-funk.
Electronics come in your choice of passive or active configuration. The MEC J/J pickup set covers serious tonal ground — the dual jazz-style layout delivers tight, articulate bottom end and a clear mid-forward character that's equally at home in fingerstyle, pick, or slap contexts. The active version adds Warwick's MEC 2-way preamp for on-board EQ sculpting, while the passive configuration keeps the signal path simple and organic.
Practical details are sorted too: the Just-A-Nut III brass nut optimises tuning stability and sustain, Warwick security strap locks are fitted as standard, and the 34" long-scale setup handles standard and drop tunings with ease. Fluorescent side dots keep you oriented under any stage lighting, and the instrument ships strung with Warwick Black Label stainless steel strings (.045–.105).
This is a bass built for players who are serious about tone and craftsmanship — one that will hold its own from the rehearsal room to the recording studio.
