Description

The Bass Cub II delivers 110 watts of rich, dynamic tone in an ultra-compact “shoebox”-sized design—so light it can be lifted with a single finger.

Building on the success of the original Bass Cub, Phil Jones Bass spent two years developing a more powerful and refined version. The result is the Bass Cub II: featuring faster loudspeaker cone response for greater transient attack, enhanced dynamic range, and lower harmonic distortion. An upgraded amplifier and rock-solid power supply ensure consistent performance under any playing condition.

PJB also engineered an all-new speaker system for the Bass Cub II, incorporating their proprietary “Chrome-Dome” technology. This delivers a smoother, more extended frequency response, increased headroom, and fast articulation—perfect for everything from delicate fingerstyle to aggressive slap techniques.

With two independent channels, the Bass Cub II can accommodate two instruments or one instrument and a microphone. A stereo input lets you connect a drum machine or MP3 player for play-along practice. Practice through the internal speakers or privately with headphones.

Measuring just 12”W x 11”D x 7.8”H and weighing only 15.5 lbs, the Bass Cub II features a 110-watt Class D amplifier with a digital switch-mode power supply. A soft cover is included for added convenience.

Whether placed on the floor or desktop, this versatile amp is ideal for practice and small performances. For extra power, pair it with the PB-300 250W active cabinet to create a 350-watt stack.
