Part of Hofner's mid-tier Contemporary ("CT") Series — a step up from the budget Ignition line — the HCT-500/7 brings genuine German-inspired design sensibility to a beautifully crafted semi-hollow instrument built for players who want real tone, real style, and real playability.
The Very Thin's sleek archtop body is deceptively lightweight, making it an absolute pleasure to play for extended sessions whether you're on stage or in the studio. The 30" short scale neck is fast and comfortable, with an easy feel that suits both seasoned players and those looking for an easy playable instrument. Unlike the fully hollow Ignition models, the Contemporary Series features a sustain block through the body — adding note clarity and feedback resistance while retaining that warm, woody semi-hollow character that Hofner basses are famous for.
This particular example presents in very good condition, showing minimum signs of a previous life well-lived. All electronics are fully functional, and the instrument plays exactly as it should.
