Lakland Skyline 55-01 Natural Ash, Maple Fretboard

Simply an amazing bass for the money. The 5501 uses a 35" scale for more balanced tension across the board and for better B string pronunciation. Loadedwith twin Bartolini MK1 soapbar pickups and a 3-band preamp, The controls on the 55-01 are Volume, balance, treble, mid and bass control, the master volume pot can be pulled to bypass the active preamp. Solid Ash body, compound radius maple neck and board, graphite reinforced and string through body option on the bridge. Hipshot light weight tuners,deep Lakland cutaway on the high register side of the neck allowing easy access to ALL 22 frets up the neck.These basses are Plek'd for absolute precision fret heights so they set up low and play like a dream.And we have said it before: 35-inch scale necks make for killer low B's! That is why the low tones on Skyline 5-string basses boom with piano-like clarity!
