Ibanez UB805 Electric Upright

The Ibanez UB805 is the newest addition to its Upswing line of electric upright basses. First released in 2018, the Upswing series was Ibanez’s answer to calls for an electric upright that could be instantly familiar to electric bass players by using a 34" scale length to allow players to more easily move between both instruments. The UB805 takes this concept to its logical next step with the addition of a low B string. The UB805 employs a Maple body, Jatoba fingerboard, 34” scale length, and a custom AeroSilk Piezo Pickup system. The bass also includes a custom TAMA Roadpro stand and custom gig bag.

If you are looking for an instrument to deliver you double bass tones but with the familiarity of your favourite electric bass, this is your answer. The Ibanez UB805. 

- 5pc Maple/Walnut neck
The 5pc Maple/Walnut neck provides tonal clarity and superior attack.

- Jatoba fretboard
Jatoba has a reddish brown color and produces a rich mid range with a crisp high end.

- Maple wing body
The Maple wing body offers a bright and clear sound.

- AeroSilk piezo pickup
The custom bridge contains the magic of the AeroSilk Piezo system to provide that sense of ”air” that characterizes upright sound.

- Piezo active tone control
The Piezo active tone control was designed for the AeroSilk Piezo.

- Custom AeroSilk MR5 bridge
The AeroSilk MR5 bridge has unique saddles which are specifically designed to work in concert with the piezo pickups to enhance the acoustic ”upright” quality of the tone. It is customed perfectly for both finger / bow play style.

- Gig bag included (UB)
A padded gig bag can carry everything in it, including the bass itself, bow and stand.

- TAMA® Roadpro Custom stand for Upright included

Occasionally, due to issues with delivering to remote or unusual destinations, we aren't able to offer shipping. We reserve the right to cancel an order if freight costs are exessive. We will always notify you if there is an issue and offer a full refund or arrange alternative delivery options.
