Warwick RockBass Corvette Double Buck ($$)
If you want more muscle and versatility from your Corvette, the Double Buck — or "$$" as it's known — is your bass. Where the Basic runs J-style pickups, the Double Buck steps things up with dual MM-style humbucker pickups paired with a 2-band active EQ, delivering a thicker, punchier voice with serious low-end authority. The swamp ash body adds brightness and openness to the tone, making this a genuinely versatile instrument equally at home in rock, funk, metal, or the studio.
The bolt-on maple neck with ekanga veneer stripes is fast and stable, while the two-piece Warwick bridge with its four-point adjustability lets you set up the bass exactly to your preference — including string spacing. The Just-A-Nut III and ergonomically angled machine heads round out a hardware package that is impressive for any price point. If you want a bass that can cover a huge range of tones and handle the demands of regular gigging, the Corvette Double Buck is exceptional value.
