Q. Is Bass Centre a physical shop?
A. Yes, you bettya. We are at 206 Park St Sth Melbourne, we have been here for over 25 years. You are welcome to come in and try out gear, talk bass gear and even buy something if the mood grabs you. Q. Why should I buy from Bass Centre
A. Bass Centre is Australia's only dedicated Bass store. We offer expert advice and guidance in getting you the gear that you need. Unlike most stores that like to list every bass under the sun on their websites but actually stock only a couple, we keep around 200 basses in stock as well as amps, cabinets, effects pedals and accessories. We are dedicated to the same thing that you are.....BASS!!
Q. Do you deliver Australia Wide?
A. Yes, we ship everyday to all over Australia using courier services and Auspost. Everything is fully insured for you at no extra cost. We offer FREE FREIGHT on orders over $500 to most destinations. Given the size of this land and some remote areas we sometimes have to cancel this offer when the freight costs become excessive
Q. How do I track my order
A. We will send you tracking details as soon as your order is dispatched and you can track it as it travels to you. If there are any issues you can always email or call us and we will follow it up for you.
Q. Do we offer lessons
A. No, unfortunately we simply do not have the space to accommodate teaching rooms.
Q. Does Bass Centre accept Trade Ins
A. Yes we do, email us photos of your bass or amp gear and we can get back to you with a trade in value
Q. Can I sell my gear at Bass Centre on Consignment
A. Yes, we sell your gear on your behalf, we take a commission off the sale price, our rates are <$1000 = 30% commission, $1000-1500 = 25% commission, >$1500 = 22% commission
You get paid 7 days after we sell your gear. We are selective in what we take so please email us the details and we can work it out from there
Q. Is this bass available left handed?
A. Probably not......we have a left handed page the site that shows what we have and what we can get. We know its tough being a lefty but there are some manufacturers who offer custom left hand builds such as Warwick and Sandberg as well as many models from Musicman, Fender Ibanez and Cort
Q. Can you give me the actual weight on a particular bass
A. Yes, we have scales and are happy to weigh instruments for customers
