Uppsala is not only a Swedish city, it’s also where the Swedish RIO band Samla Mammas Manna/Zamla Mammaz Manna/Von Zamla/Lars Hollmer actually came from and the band Uppsala took their name as a trbtiue to the Swedish bands mentioned – if I got the story right.Stefan/Oax of Joxfield P

Wise words indeed. While I obianted some benefit from studying other aspects of music for my music degree, the main improvements accrued from personal study with two very experienced and successful tutors in performance and orchestration.As Joe points out, this could certainly be done successfully outwith an academic context.
