The 2021 Stingray Special is the next evolution in this classics long history. New body contouring, roasted maple necks, new 18v preamp with a revoiced pickup that delivers even more versatility to this already iconic tone.
Built to be lighter than its predecessors, the Stingray Special utilises more body contouring, lighter body wood selection and lighter hardware to deliver an instrument that not only feels great in the hands, it feels great on your shoulders.
The roasted maple neck delivers an incredibly stable feel combined with stainless steel frets for incredible durability. The sculpted neck joint provides uninhibited access to all 22 frets and feels very natural when you are playing up the neck.
New and improved StingRay electronics feature powerful neodymium magnets, bringing you more output and a wider range of sounds. A newly designed 18-volt 3-Band preamp for extra clean headroom lets you dial in everything from modern punch to classic, vintage tones.
Reengineered lightweight tuning machines create a more balanced neck while still providing ultra-reliable tuning stability.
Overall the Stingray Special is the ultimate Stingray, delivering modern tweaks to one of the most iconic basses that has ever existed.
