Recognized as one of the most skilled and versatile bassists in extreme music, Steve Di Giorgio is known for pushing boundaries — from heavy thrash and death metal to the intricacies of fusion and the groove of jazz. Best known for his work with Death and Testament, Steve’s technical command and signature tone have made him a go-to studio player, contributing to over 50 albums across a career spanning more than 30 years.

When it comes to gear, Steve has long relied on Ibanez BTB basses for their adaptability and rock-solid performance. So when it came time to create his own signature model, he naturally built on the trusted BTB platform. The result is the SDGB – a perfect fusion of modern Ibanez engineering and decades of Steve’s playing experience.
