Attention
all Jack Bruce and Cream
fanatics: To commemorate the historic reunion of the legendary rock
band, Cream, Warwick is making a very special bass for Jack Bruce
to play. Named simply the Jack Bruce Reunion Bass,
this neck-through masterpiece features a 5-piece ovangkol neck,
with black veneers between each laminate. There is also a thin
black veneer between the fingerboard and the neck, creating a very
cool racing stripe along the edges of the neck. Add to that some
LEDs on the top edge of the fingerboard and a mother-of-pearl block
inlay that is engraved with “Jack Bruce Cream Reunion”, and you
have a classic
The body
is made of solid bubinga, with interior tone chambers that not only
enhance the harmonics and sustain, but lightens the overall weight
of the bass. The top of the bass is made from stunning AAAA Bubinga
Pommele, with a black veneer separating the body from the cap,
continuing the racing stripe theme that was started on the neck. In
short, this bass looks and sounds fantastic.
Pickups:
Two specially-designed MEC humbuckers that were handwired to Jack
Bruce’s personal specifications. The pickups are covered in a
chrome cap
The
result of all of this careful planning and work is a vintage sound
that benefits from modern construction techniques and
state-of-the-art components. The sum result of these unique
components is that you can get all best vintage tones without the
harsh tones and noise issues that are inherent in older basses. Old
school meets new cool, if you will

This zebrano wood with a
high contrast in its flames is shown to full advantage with a
natural oil finish. As the ideal complement to the zebrano the
customer chose golden hardware what gives the bass an expressive
appearance altogether

A customer ordered an
all-maple Streamer Stage I 5 string bass from the Warwick Custom
Shop. For the body wood the customer chose solid AAAA flamed maple
with a flamed maple neck, laminated from 5 stripes with veneers,
and a fretboard made from AAAA flamed maple, as well. Furthermore
the bass got a high polish finish.

Here the Warwick Custom
Shop was asked to build a Thumb Bolt-on 4 string with a bass
tremolo. These Kahler tremelo's are no longer available but Warwick
just happened to have one. |

Thumb Bass Fretless,
Neck through with a Birdseye Maple body and a Birdseye Maple neck.
The challenge was the construction of the top, which turned out to
be quite intricate. To keep the grain and pattern of the top intact
even after it was shaped was a task that the highly skilled
luthiers of Warwick readily accepted. A further request of the
customer was to manufacture the neck of Birdseye Maple as well – a
unique choice for a Thumb Bass.

At the moment the
Streamer LX 4- and 5-string Bass is only available in the Warwick
Custom shop our Warwick distributor in Japan has placed a special
order for 3 Streamer LX 5-string basses with AAA flamed maple
body.
The Honey Violin Oil
Finish over the AAA flamed maple give an exceptional appearance.

hardware

The Warwick Custom Shop
received an order to produce this bass that is truly an optical and
tonal highlight. A Thumb Neck Through with a strong grained quilted
maple top reflects the desired 3-D effect almost perfectly.
Matching gold hardware was requested and an ebony fingerboard
finishes off this beautiful instrument |
